With our honoured guest, Shaykh Jamal al-Zahabi
Join us for an afternoon reflecting on the life, guidance, and character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Shaykh Jamal al-Zahabi is an inheritor of the classical tradition of Damascus and al-Azhar, and a student of the great muhaddith Shaykh Abd al-Fattah Abu Ghuddah (rahimahullah). For over three decades he has served and illuminated communities across Canada and America.

Enlightened Hearts 2026-27
A weekend education program for children and youth ages 4 to 16. An interactive and engaging space where young hearts are nurtured in the beauty of Islam through the study of Allah Almighty, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Qur'an, noble character, Islamic arts, memorization, and more.

Age-Appropriate Learning
Five levels, rooted in tradition
Each level is named after a blessed tree mentioned in the Qur'an, reflecting the growth and nourishment we seek for every child at every stage of their journey.
The Grape Tree
Two levels (ages 6 to 7 and 8 to 9): Seerah, Shamaail, noble character, memorization, poetry, and Al-Ghazali readings.
The Pomegranate Tree
Aqidah, Shamaail, Adab, inquiry-based learning, memorization, and poetry.
The Date Palm Tree
Aqidah, Seerah, noble character, Fiqh, Halal and Haram, critical reasoning, and principled engagement.

The Olive Tree: Preschool Circle & Story Time
An engaging class for our youngest learners, ages 0 to 4, centred on stories and song. Designed with little hearts in mind, our teachers use the five senses to nurture a deep connection to Allah and His Prophet ﷺ. From hands-on crafts to joyful movement, from songs to storytelling, children explore faith, compassion, and connection.
This is a parent or guardian supported class: a parent or guardian stays and takes part with their child each week.

Ihsan Centre runs on the hands and hearts of its volunteers. Whatever your skills and availability, there is a place for you here.
- Assist in the classroom during Enlightened Hearts on Sundays
- Help set up and host community events and Mawlid gatherings
- Support food drives, iftars, and emergency aid initiatives
- Share skills in media, design, admin, or outreach
High school students: volunteer hours can count toward your community service requirement.
